Dr. Farhadzadeh Takes CIV 423/523 Class to Rockaway Project

Near the end of Fall 2021 term, Dr. Farhadzadeh arranged for his class in Coastal Engineering Planning and Design to visit the US Army Corps of Engineers' shore protection project in Rockaway. The project's current focus is the construction of groins to reduce shore erosion on the north shore of Rockaway. It is part of a larger shore protection project that, in addition to groins, includes a beach fill with a reinforced dune, on the north shore. Read more here!
